ChildMinderPro™ was created by WeBuildLogic — a family business founded by Paul and Gail McDougall, both with extensive backgrounds in policing and child protection.
We saw childminders struggling with mountains of paperwork, compliance requirements, and the constant pressure of Care Inspectorate readiness. We knew there had to be a better way.
So we built a system that brings together everything a Scottish childminder needs — designed by people who truly understand safeguarding, risk management, and protecting children.

Founder & Developer
Paul has been a strategic leader in child protection and currently works with Police Scotland managing risk and concern. He previously spent years designing and implementing national policy and processes for public protection, working closely with Scottish Government on public protection initiatives.
Paul was previously Chair of the MAPPA Multi-Agency Operational Group for Lanarkshire and has co-chaired contextual safeguarding multi-agency meetings. He has been a key member of listing reviews with health, education, and social work, and has been the Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) for complex child protection investigations. Paul remains an active member of numerous multi-agency child protection groups.
That experience in strategic leadership, process design, and genuine care for protecting children now goes into every feature we build.
Co-Founder & Client Relations Manager
Now retired from Police Scotland, Gail was an Advanced Investigator and vastly experienced Sexual Offences Liaison Officer (SOLO). She brought years of experience working on complex public protection cases, managing serious crimes whilst providing dedicated support to victims of crime.
Her understanding of safeguarding, documentation, and supporting vulnerable people ensures ChildMinderPro is built with real-world practicality in mind. As Client Relations Manager, Gail is your first point of contact for support.
